Ghana and Sao Tome & Principe

About

This trip leaves from Washington DC (IAD) where our flight leaves at 6pm on the 12th. We will fly to Ghana nonstop, it's a long flight (around 10 hours) where we are scheduled to arrive in Accra on the evening of the 13th.

We will spend a couple days in Accra with a local guide! 

Our time will be spent seeing all the sights, visiting the beach, relaxing, and experiencing the culture and history.

We will also visit the market on our city tour and learn all about the culture.

​

From there we will head back to the airport and fly to Sao Tome island, it's near the equator. 

The island has beautiful beaches that we will explore. We will check out all the island has to offer including beaches, waterfalls, and lots of nature & history.

There are lots of water/ beach activities (scuba, snorkel, kiteboarding, surfing, and paddle boarding).

This is going to be an amazing trip with a mixture of city, history, culture, nature and beaches. We will do lots of exciting things but there will be some relaxation involved.

We will head back home on the 19th at 11:30pm, we fly nonstop and are scheduled to arrive back in Washington DC the next morning (April 20th) at 6:20 am.

Please remember Africa is FAR, this trip has long flights but the journey will be worth it. Note: You will need a yellow fever vaccine and visa for this trip!

FYI: My trips are NOT all inclusive. Everything listed above is included, you will be responsible for meals, excursion, and transportation not listed.

Pricing

Double Occupancy: $3399 - Room with a roommate

Single Occupancy: $4699 - Having a bedroom to yourself

Above prices are per person and subject to change.  There is no "occupancy fee" the difference in fares is based on sharing or splitting the cost of hotel rooms. If you are traveling solo and would like to possibly be matched with a roommate please put that on your application and I will match you.

There is a land only option for this trip if you'd like to find your own flight to Ghana or if you are far from DC. This option includes everything listed above except the round trip flight from IAD to ACC. The prices are: 

Double Occupancy $2499

Single Occupancy $3799

Payment Info

  • Deposit of $400 is required to reserve your spot

  • A credit of $50 will be given if balance is paid in full all at once.

  • at least 50% of the balance due December 12th, 2022

  • Full balance is due 30 days before trip March 12th, 2023

  • Payment deadlines are mandatory! Missing deadlines can result in losing your seat

  • Payments can be split up however you would like and can be made at any time via Paypal, Cash, or Cash app

  • Paypal offers a credit option that has 6 months no interest.

  • Sample payment plan: $400 deposit, and 7 payments of $428

Additional Info

TRAVEL NOTES ABOUT THIS TRIP:

  • Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for six months beyond travel dates. 

  • All prices are based on the rates of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation. In the event that the US dollar devalues, I reserve the right to increase prices accordingly. Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation.

  • I offer roommate matching for this trip. When making your reservations please select “double occupancy” and when asked for your roommate’s name please enter “request roommate match”. Roommates will be matched as they become available. In the event that there is no available roommate you will be required to pay the difference between solo occupancy.
